Planning Board Meeting August 27, 2024 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), Site Plan Discussion and Sketch Plat with respect to an application of Lane Gardens, LLC, 35 West Street, Ste. 202, Spring Valley, NY 10977, for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “Lane Gardens”, proposing a three-lot subdivision of the 0.61-acre site with a detached 3-family dwelling plus three accessory apartments on one lot and semi-attached two-family dwelling plus two-accessory units on the remaining two lots. The existing residence and driveways will be removed. The property in question is located at 20 Lane Street, Monsey, NY on the north side of Lane Street, approximately 160 feet east of Saddle River Road, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.11-2-81 and is located in an R-15C Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as a Type 1 SEQRA Action on June 25, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on June 28, 2024. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Application of Congregation Bnos Zion of Bobov Monsey, 3 Asher Drive, Spring Valley, NY 10977, for Final Site Plan and Special Use Permit approval of a site development plan entitled “Congregation Bnos Zion of Bobov Monsey”, proposing a new school with outside catering on the 2.217-acre site. Existing residences to be demolished. The property in question is located at 54, 58 & 62 College Road, Monsey on the east side of College Road, approximately 0 feet south of Highview Road, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.06-1-39, 20 & 21, and is located in an R-25 Zone. On February 27, 2024, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
