Planning Board Meeting January 14, 2024 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Application of Hatzoloh EMS, Inc., 19 Grove Street, Monsey, NY 10952 for Final Subdivision and Final Site Plan approval of a subdivision plan entitled “Ladentown Road Hatzoloh EMS, Inc”, proposing a two-lot subdivision of the 3.3-acre site with lot 2 being conveyed to the applicant by its current owner, for use as a previously approved office space and ambulance garage. The property is located at 1540 Route 202, Pomona, NY on the North Side of Route 202 approximately 0 feet southwest of Ladentown Road, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 33.05-2-4, and is located in a PO Zone. On August 19, 2024, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) with respect to an application of 529 W Central Ave LLC, 35 West St. Suite 202, Spring Valley, NY 10977, for approval of a site development plan entitled “529 W Central Ave”, proposing a four-story building including 32 residential dwelling-units on the 1.24-acre lot. The existing buildings are to be demolished. The property in question is located at 529, 531 & 533 West Central Avenue, Monsey, NY on the south side of West Central Avenue, approximately 230 feet west of Adar Court, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.12-3-24.1. 24.2. & 25 and is located in an R-15C Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on November 26, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on December 9, 2024. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Sketch Plat, with respect to an application of Hirise Developers, Inc., 584 Chestnut Ridge Road, Spring Valley, NY 10977, for approval of a subdivision plan entitled “8 Merrick Lane”, proposing to subdivide the 0.521-acre lot into two lots, resulting in the construction of two single family homes on each of the new lots. The existing residence and driveway will be removed. The property is located at 8 Merrick Lane, Spring Valley, NY on the north side of Merrick Lane approximately 125 feet east of Northbrook Road, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 50.19-3-62, and is located in a R-15 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on November 12, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on November 19, 2024.  Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
