LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 8:00pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 8:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
1. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Site Plan and Special Permit Discussion with respect to an application of Yitzchok Birnhack, President of Legadel, 12 Maple Leaf Road, Monsey, New York 10952, for approval of a Site Development Plan entitled “89-91 Route 59”, proposing a new school on a 1.38-acre lot. The existing residences and driveways will be removed. The property in question is located at 89 and 91 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901 on the South side of Route 59, approximately 101 feet West of Park Place, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 55.10-2-8 & 9 in an R-15 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA action on September 7, 2022, and a coordinated review was initiated on September 19, 2022. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
2. Application of Yeshiva Ktana of Monsey, 88 Grove Street, Monsey, New York, 10953, for Final Amended Site Plan Approval of a site plan entitled “Yeshiva Ketana of Monsey”, consisting of an addition to the existing school on a 0.86-acre lot. The property in question is located at 88 Grove Street, Monsey, New York, 10952 on the North side of Grove Street, approximately 350 feet West of Treetop Lane, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 56.11-3-4 in a R-15A Zone. On June 14, 2022, the Planning Board re-affirmed their previous Type II SEQRA Classification.
3. Re-Affirm prior SEQRA, Amended Subdivision Approval with respect to an application of Augusta Estates, LLC, 7 Joshua Court, Monsey, New York 10952 of a plan entitled “Augusta Estates LLC”, consisting of removal of map note #21 and amend location of proposed private Right of Way of previously approved Subdivision which is a 1.79-acre lot. The property in question is located at 53-55 Grove Street and 15, 17, 19, 21 & 23 Augusta Avenue, Monsey, New York, 10952 on the North side of Augusta Avenue, approximately 0 feet West of Grove Street, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.11-3-43.1 through 7 in a R-15A Zone.
4. Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Final Site Plan Approval with respect to an application of Congregation Ohel Ruchel, 4 Vincent Road, Spring Valley, New York, for approval of a site development plan entitled “Goldstein”, on a 0.32-acre lot, proposing a Neighborhood House of Worship within an existing multi-family dwelling. The property in question is located at 4 Vincent Road, Spring Valley, New York, 10977 on the South side of Vincent Road, approximately 150 feet West of Ellish Parkway, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 50.17-1-59 in an R-15C Zone. Please take notice that this Public
Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
