Planning Board Meeting September 10, 2024 at 7:30 pm - IN-PERSON ONLY!!!
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Planning Board of the Town of Ramapo will hold a meeting at Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 7:30pm.
Planning Board members will attend in-person. Until further notice, applicants, their representatives, and interested members of the public must also attend the meeting in-person. Written comment on matters on the agenda for a public hearing may be submitted to the Planning Board Secretary by mail or email, but must be received no later than 4:00 PM on the date of the hearing. The Planning Board will open public hearings on the following application(s) at 7:30 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, for the purpose of allowing the public to be heard on those matters, and the hearing may thereafter be closed or continued. Links to files containing the application and supporting documents are available on the Town website using the meeting agenda posted on the Town website. The application file is also available for review in the Building Department at Town Hall during normal business hours.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Site Plan Discussion with respect to an application of 8 Edison Ct, LLC, 5314 16th Avenue, Ste. 264 Brooklyn, NY 11204, for approval of a site development plan entitled “8 Edison Court”, proposing a local house of worship with a Rabbi’s residence on the 0.64-acre site. 0.51-acres of the site is located in the Town of Ramapo and the remaining 0.13-acres is located in the Village of Spring Valley, where parking is proposed for this site and approvals will need to be obtained from that Board. The property in question is located at 8 Edison Court, Monsey, New York on the north side of Edison Court, approximately 266 feet east of NYS Route 306, which is known and designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lot 49.16-1-31 and is located in an R-25 Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on July 22, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on July 31, 2024. Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
- Application of Hendel Grossman, Route 202 Professional Plaza LLC, 27 Robert Pitt Drive, Monsey, NY 10952, for Final Site Plan approval of a site development plan entitled “Route 202 Business Park”, proposing two, one-story structures that overlap to be used for warehouse space with associated retail sales from the same premises on the 13-acre site. The property is located at 103 Ladentown Road and 110 Camp Hill Road, Pomona, NY on the north side of Ladentown Road approximately 450 feet east of Camp Hill Road, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 33.05-2-2 & 5, and is located in a CC Zone. On January 23, 2024, the Planning Board classified the proposed action as a Type 1 SEQRA Action, determined that preparation of an environmental impact statement was not required, and that a SEQRA negative declaration would be issued.
- Determination of potential environmental impacts pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617 State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) and Sketch Plat, with respect to an application of Moses Friedman, 8 Merrick Drive, Spring Valley, NY 10977, of a subdivision plan entitled “165 Saddle River Road”, proposing to subdivision the 0.7998-acre site into two lots, with a detached two-family dwelling plus one accessory apartment on each lot. The property is located at 165 Saddle River Road, Airmont, NY on the east side of Saddle River Road approximately 0 feet South of Old Nyack Turnpike, is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section, Block, Lots 56.19-4-5, and is located in a R-15A Zone. The Planning Board classified the proposed action as an Unlisted SEQRA Action on July 22, 2024, and a coordinated review was initiated on July 31, 2024.  Please take notice that this Public Hearing is not a “SEQR Hearing” within the meaning of 6 NYCRR Part 617, although the Board will accept public comment at this Hearing from interested members of the public and involved/interested agencies.
