NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo, Rockland County, New York, on July 10, 2024, at 7:00 P.M. at the Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901to consider the adoption of a local law entitled “A Local Law Repealing Local Law No. 4-2018, amended it its entirety by Local Law 1-2023 (Police Officers)” which local law shall provide as follows:

IN ITS ENTIRETY BY LOCAL LAW 1-2023 (POLICE OFFICERS)
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo as follows:

Article VI
Police Officers
§ 37-15 Statutory authority; legislative intent. - Repeal
§ 37-16 Residency requirement. – Repeal
This local law takes effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that all interested persons will be given an opportunity to be heard.
