NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo, that pursuant to the provisions of the Town Law of the State of New York, a public hearing will be held at 7:00 o'clock P.M. (Prevailing Time) at the Ramapo Town Hall, 237 Route 59, Suffern, New York, 10901, on the 3rd day of January, 2019, to consider the adoption of a local law entitled “A LOCAL LAW AMENDING LOCAL LAW NO. 3 – 1998 (As Amended), “TAX EXEMPTION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES” TO ALLOW DEDUCTION FOR ALL MEDICAL AND PRESCRIPTION DRUG EXPENSES NOT REIMBURSED OR PAID BY INSURANCE” which local law shall provide as follows:
LOCAL LAW NO. - 2019
A LOCAL LAW AMENDING LOCAL LAW NO. 3 – 1998 (AS AMENDED) “TAX EXEMPTION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES” TO ALLOW DEDUCTION FOR ALL MEDICAL AND PRESCRIPTION DRUG EXPENSES NOT REIMBURSED OR PAID BY INSURANCE
BE IT ENACTED by the Town Board of the Town of Ramapo as follows:
Section 1. Add a new Section 253-32A “Medical and Drug Expenses” to read as follows:
Applicants may deduct from their income all medical and prescription drug expenses which are not reimbursed or paid by insurance.
Section 2. Effective Date
This Local Law shall become effective immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.
